Sweden
is a Scandinavian nation that comprises of thousands of islands, mountains and
lakes. A very interesting fact about this great nation is that though it is a
mass producer of weapons, Sweden has not been involved in any war from the past
two centuries. This article focuses on the most famous places in Sweden.
Lund Cathedral:
This is a famous Lutheran Cathedral in Lund, Sweden. This great church is built
from sand stone and the influence of the Romanesque style is evident in the
crypts, galleries and other structures. The interiors are cool and dark and the
place has an ancient church bell that was made as early as the year 1513. The

The Gota Canal:
This ancient canal was built as early as the nineteenth century and is
considered to be the backbone of a waterway linking a lot of rivers and lakes
to provide a route from Gothenburg to Soderkoping and passes through the Vanern
and Vattern lakes. The picturesque locations and calm waters draws thousands of
tourists every year.

Kosterhavet National Park:
This is the first marine National park in Sweden that opened up to the public
in the year 2009. There are over six thousand species of wild life and the park
is in and around the Koster islands. The coral reef is filled with the
activities of snorkelling and diving and the picturesque locations makes

Ystad:
Ystad is a town in Skane County, Sweden. A very famous monastery named the
Greyfriars abbey lies in this great place. The Church of Virgin Mary is another
